Maintenance:
STRING TRIMMER

Gas trimmers are powered either by a 2-cycle (require a fuel/oil mixture) or
a 4-cycle (separate tanks for fuel and oil) engine. Following are maintenance
suggestions and schedules for both types of engines in typical string trimmers.
For information on specific models, refer to the owner’s manual.
Typical Maintenance Schedule
PREPARATION

Fill fuel tank

Replace line as needed
Change oil (4-cycle engines)
Clean and re-oil air filter
